Eugene Housing and Neighborhood Defense would like to invite you to December’s Mass Meeting on 12/5 @ 6:30pm. ❤️🔥
The Mass Meetings have continued to have amazing attendance! Thank you to everyone who met us at our first indoor Springfield meeting in November. We will continue to host these meetings at the Teamsters Union Hall at 711 Shelley St in Springfield.
We are looking to connect tenants with other tenants and organizers in their neighborhoods to identify common housing issues, selfish landlords, over-policed areas, active workers struggles and more. We would love to have you join the conversation to struggle and defend our neighborhoods! 🤝🏚🤝

How can we bring accountability over the climate crisis? This inspiring story documents 21 young people from across the country as they file a groundbreaking lawsuit against the United States. The case reveals evidence that the government has endangered their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property by acting over six decades to create the climate crisis.

“The people who are contributing the least amount of carbon emissions to the world are the ones being most affected by it.” – Vic Barrett, Juliana plaintiff.

Come together to explore the topic of "Responding to the Climate Crisis" in a conversation facilitated by philosopher-educators Paul Bodin and Caroline Lundquist.
This monthly forum for people of all ages and backgrounds offers an opportunity to share opinions and ideas in a structured setting to explore challenging topics with civility and consideration. With a different theme each month, the conversations will address deep and universal questions about life, identity, community, and responsibility.
This topic choice was inspired by a West African proverb: I am a citizen of a world not yet born. Bodin and Lundquist explain, "Today we are citizens of a world on fire. Solastalgia is a state of distress that we experience when familiar environments change for the worse in our lifetime and may never be the same again. Are we living in a time of solastalgia? Is this a time for despair? Or can we remake the world to become a better place?"
Community Philosophy Circles will take place on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. through March.

December marks the end of the year and the end (for now) of Climate Revolutions’ group rides. As the days get shorter and colder, we will retreat for a long winter’s hibernation to think about when, or if, rides should continue in 2023. This ride will be a collaboration with, and a hand-off to, Shift Community Cycles. Climate Revolutions looks forward to continuing our support for all of Shift’s good work, including their group rides in 2023.
But before then, join us for the last celebratory ride of 2022! Let’s decorate our bikes with whatever lights we have, don our best rainproof apparel, and see 2022 out in style with an easy-paced ride to ring in the yuletide season. We will start at Monroe Park at 2PM. We’ll end up at a cozy fire pit near Shift Community Cycles, at 1st Ave. and Lincoln Ave. with a warming drink in hand.
Our motivation: Meet great people. Share and support a bicycle lifestyle. Disrupt the status quo and build a revolution for the Earth. Our Revolutions Rides are family friendly, inclusive & free
