UO NASU: The silent epidemic: a lecture event on raising awareness for missing and murdered indigenous people

    May 23, 2023

Join us for a thought-provoking and informative lecture series on the ongoing crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous People. This event is aimed at educating our community about this issue, raising awareness, and promoting action towards justice and change.

The lecture series will feature prominent speakers, including community leaders, advocates, and experts in the field, who will share their insights and experiences on the topic. Through these lectures, we aim to shed light on the devastating effects of this crisis on Indigenous communities and to explore the root causes behind it.

The series will cover various aspects of the issue, including the historical and cultural context, the impact of colonization and systemic racism, the challenges faced by Indigenous people, and the importance of community action and advocacy. The lectures will also highlight the stories of missing and murdered Indigenous people and their families, and honor their lives and memories.
Throughout the series, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue and discussion with the speakers, ask questions, and share their own perspectives and experiences. We hope that this event will inspire and empower our community to take action towards justice and healing for Indigenous people and their families.

Join us for this important and impactful event, and let’s work together to remember our sisters and demand change for a better future.
