Stop Death on the Streets Eugene

On Friday, June  5 the City of Eugene and Lane County will be closing the State of Emergency Shelteres that exist for our unhoused neighbors. Residents of these emergency options are being turned out on the street with no other public options for shelter during a pandemic.

Stop death on the Streets is inviting their friends neighbors and represenatives of grassroots social service providers in our area to speak out against the injustice and insincerity of a city that promotes itself as a humanitarian while taking away minimal services it has offered during this pandemic.

This demonstration stands in solidarity with the nation wide uprisings against white supremacy and police violence led by BIPOC revolutionaries and their shared struggle to abolish police and hold them accountable for being the deadly enforcers of racist and classist violence. We stand with those whose very existence is criminalized. Black Lives Matter!
