This presentation will cover the basics of de-escalation and communication from the perspective of a frontline behavioral health worker specializing in crisis intervention. Participants will gain tips and techniques for working with individuals who are escalated and/or in crisis. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences working with individuals who are in crisis and explore potential scenarios that they may feel unprepared to handle in their work.
