Come learn about the history of International Working Women’s Day, its significance in the revolutionary movement internationally, and celebrate the women who carry out the struggle for liberation in the past, the present, and into the future!
There will be speeches, food, music, poetry, art, a kids table, and more!

Join our Eugene area comrades for a public forum this Sunday at 1pm in the Tykeson Room at the Downtown Library! The forum focuses on the origin, history and contemporary understanding of International Working Women’s Day and the history of U.S. Imperialism in the Middle East as we recognize the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. Whether it be the question of women’s liberation or the U.S. war machine, capitalism is the problem and socialism is the answer!

Interested in sharing your skills or knowledge? We are doing a workshop on how to create a workshop so that you can more easily! It will cover principles of creating a workshop, the role of a trainer/facilitator, how to keep a workshop engaging, how to write content, how to appeal to different learning styles, public speaking tips, and more! And throughout you’ll be working on developing a workshop on a topic you want, so you’ll leave with a solid start of a workshop you can give.
