April 5, 2025(1 event) – ![]() Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. We are fighting back! They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.
This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country. A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. This mobilization in Eugene Springfield is collectively organized by the Activist Coalition of Eugene Springfield (ACES). This coalition includes Indivisible Eugene Springfield, 50501 Eugene, Springfield-Eugene SURJ, Eugene, Party for Socialism & Liberation (PSL), Transponder/Lavender Network, Oregon Community Asylum Network (OCAN), Beyond Toxics, & Trans Alliance of Lane County (TALC) This Saturday at Eugene City Hall join us from 12-3pm to create connections with others in your community! April 12, 2025(1 event) – Medicaid funds the jobs of those who care for our loved ones in hospitals, nursing homes, and in-home care. Our nation is already facing a healthcare staffing crisis – slashing the funding for nursing home workers, home care providers, and hospital workers will make this crisis worse. It also funds the jobs of public service workers who provide social services, benefits services, education services and more. Federal Medicaid dollars are critical to state budgets, funding on average nearly 30% a state's budget, and paying for the services that keep communities running like special education, K-12 services, in-home care for seniors and people with disabilities, and mental health services. Tell Congress - HANDS OFF MEDICAID!! Alton Baker Park, 200 Day Island Rd., Eugene, OR 97402 |
