The Eugene School Board has begun the process to select the district’s permanent superintendent.
Parents, staff, students and other interested community members are invited to provide input on strengths, qualities and priorities for the district’s leader. Public input will be collected through an online survey and public forums in January. The survey is open now and the first forum will be held this week.
The school board selected Cydney Vandercar to serve as interim superintendent for the 2020–21 and 2021–22 school years. The board has now undertaken the process to select the permanent superintendent for the district starting in July 2022.
The board plans to name the district’s permanent superintendent this spring, after additional opportunities for community input.
