New contract for major grocer workers ratified
After over a year of fighting for it, UFCW 555 announced last week that a new contract has been ratified. Among the key highlights in the contract are 20 hour weekly guarantee and no cuts to healthcare. They also made progress to gender equity through pay bumps to workers in the female-concentrated Schedule B and better opportunities for them to move to Schedule A.
