Junteenth celebration

June 20, 2020

In an effort to further educate our community, show the richness of our presence, and create a gathering space to honor the current and past events of our people, the Black Led Action Coalition, in conjunction with members of the black community, are organizing a Juneteenth Celebration.
This event will include black owned businesses, black-owned food carts, black performing arts, speeches, and educational moments for the community of Eugene to be further informed of the struggles, perseverance, and underlying issues that have caused a deficit in equality for our people. The goal of this event is not only to bring together and empower our black community, but to educate the people of Eugene as we look forward to a more unified and justice-based tomorrow.

How: In collaboration with business sponsors, the overhead of the event will be covered through tax deductible financial and in-kind donations. Monies collected through the business sponsorship will be made payable and allocated through the above listed non-profit organizations.

Admission: Free. All-ages event.

Who: Joint Effort Between: Black-Led Action Coalition (B.L.A.C), Honoring Our New Ethnic Youth (H.O.N.E.Y) & Xcape.
